This is the Postgraduate Research Student Network Launch Event! Come along if you are a PGR student and want to meet current research students and your representatives at the University of Hull and the Student Union.

We will be providing free pizza and refreshments on the day but you are welcome to bring your own food also. We will be running fun events so students can discuss their research goals and network with collaborators. There will also be a competition to find areas that will be important to you in your time here at Hull and you might be in with a chance of winning free University of Hull branded merch.

Our main goal for the PGR network is to create a collaborative research space where students can soundboard ideas, discuss research and voice concerns to student representatives. We’ll run bi-weekly events and work with the Doctoral College to provide research focused support. Finally, we’ll be bringing back the long-lost Postgraduate Ball in May 2026!

Free tickets are available for you to register your interest but you can still attend if you do not book a ticket.

- The room is located in the Student Central building on the 2nd floor. This room is accessible via the lift behind the main stairs or by going up two sets of stairs. 

- To access the room via the lift, press '2' and turn right. To access the room via the stairs, go up the main stairs next to the SPAR shop, turn right and go up another set of stairs. Go through the glass doors and turn left.
